Kamaole Sands Castle Resorts
The Castle Kamaole Sands garden condominium resort is set upon fifteen acres of Hawaiian tropical gardens complete with beautiful fish ponds, waterfalls and exotic island flowers. Uncrowded beaches and sparkling waters await in Kamaole III beach park, just across the street from this Mediterranean-style condominium resort on Maui's Sun Coast.
Sunny weather along this dry coast and the peaceful condominium community of Kihei attracts vacationers seeking to avoid the more crowded resort areas of West Maui. Kamaole Sands delivers the home-away-from-home condominium comfort and hotel service families and couples arriving on the Sun Coast desire.
The largest of three public-park beaches and the only one with off-street parking, Kamaole III, lies just across the street from the resort. Like all beaches in South Maui, it's uncrowded. There's also good snorkeling among rocks and coral. To the delight of snorkeling and scuba-diving enthusiasts, the tiny island of Molokini, renowned for the clarity of its surrounding water, is not far offshore, and excursions are easy to arrange through the resort's activity desk.
Large and beautiful, Keawakapu Beach begins in front of the Mana Kai Resort a few minutes' drive from Kamaole Sands. Next to the Mana Kai is a public parking lot. Signs point the way to the beach, which offers great snorkeling along its rocky northern terminus, terrific boogie boarding when the trade winds blow, and long, tropical-fantasy walks.
Kamaole Sands' immaculate 15 acres contain 440 condominium units in 10 four-story, tile-roofed buildings. Kihei Town, a peaceful (20 mph limit) community arrayed along the ocean, provides shopping, dining, and nightlife opportunities. A mile from the resort is a shopping center with a 24-hour supermarket. In the resort's small lobby there's an activity desk for booking tours, excursions, luaus, and car rentals.
This resort offers 440 rooms in 10 four-story buildings. Decor includes island-style furnishings. Amenities include lanais, air conditioning, and ceiling fans.
This hotel also offers high-speed Internet access "plug and play" service. Guests simply plug their laptop computers into the cable modem and are instantly connected to the Internet .
The resort contains four tennis courts. Many other recreational opportunities exist in South Maui. The activity desk in the lobby arranges these.
There are some 17 golf courses in South and West Maui, including four resort courses and one public course within five miles of Kamaole Sands. The activity desk makes reservations at them all. Golf clubs can be rented.
Also through the activity desk, the following beach gear can be rented: boogie boards, body boards, surf boards, boards with masks for viewing underwater life, snorkel sets, chairs, umbrellas, and children's sand toys.
Snorkeling and scuba-diving trips to the island of Molokini off South Maui can be booked through the activity desk.
