Kahala Resort Hotel
Kahala Resort Hotel is located in the exclusive residential area of Kahala on the island of Oahu., The resort's landscaped gardens, cascading waterfall and tropical lagoon with resident dolphins, as well as guest swimming pools for both adults and children, complete the picture.

Kahala Resort, Hawaii has earned the distinction of being the only resort in Oahu to win the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award in recognition of its world-class facilities, services and amenities. A hideaway for international royalty and Hollywood celebrities, the elegant Kahala Resort is secluded, the only hotel in a suburban residential district, yet only ten minutes away from Waikiki. The inviting lobby is reminiscent of a plantation manor home and its oceanfront setting is extraordinary. Kahala Resort, Hawaii features 371 stunning spacious guest rooms and 33 suites with panoramic views of the Lagoon, the ocean or the beautiful Koolau Mountains. Opened in 1964 and frequented by Hollywood's elite (Frank Sinatra, Tom Cruise, Michelle Pfeiffer), entertainment notables (Faith Hill, Luciano Pavarotti, Billy Joel), every US president from Nixon to Clinton, and royalty (Queen Elizabeth, Princess Grace, the Dalai Lama), this resort attracts the rich and famous and the discriminating and sophisticated. Ordinary families cavort next to the glitterati. Consistent awards prove this resort is among the world’s best.

Guest rooms were designed with a residential, turn-of-the-century motif. They evoke a feeling of warmth and romance with their handsome mixture of mahogany furniture, teak parquet floors, hand-loomed Tibetan area rugs, grass cloth wall coverings, and a blend of rich fabrics. This beachfront hotel offers 364 rooms located in two 10-story towers and a two-story Dolphin Lagoon Terrace. Rooms average 550 square feet. Some have furnished sit-down balconies; others have Juliet balconies with sliding glass doors and wrought-iron railings. Views are of the ocean, dolphin lagoon, or mountains. Rich fabrics and hand-woven Tibetan carpets contribute color. Dressing areas are furnished with mahogany-and-red-marble vanities, and huge bathrooms recall grand Hawaiian plantations. Guests can swim and interact with the hotel's dolphins, who share residence with exotic fish and sea turtles in a 26,000-square-foot saltwater lagoon. The resort’s elaborate pool complex includes a large ocean-view pool lined with blue Italian-glass tiles, a big spa, and a children's wading pool—all surrounded by a sundeck furnished with thickly padded lounge chairs and fronted by a sunning lawn graced by coconut trees. The resort also features a children's club offering an extensive range of facilities and activities from lei-making to ukulele-playing.
Responding to celebrity requests, the resort built five 550-square-foot spa suites (one for couples) where guests receive various massages and body treatments in an utterly tranquil, private setting, beginning with a foot-bathing ritual.

The 364-room Kahala Resort is comprised of two 10-story towers and a two-story Dolphin Lagoon Terrace. A three-story lobby provides plush seating amid white beams, tall drapes, and wooden shutters.

Every imaginable facility and service is available for a relaxed, luxurious vacation: a fitness center offering personal training, aquatic exercise, and yoga, complete with separate men's and women's quarters with saunas, steam rooms, and spas; a Keiki Club for children ages 5–12, offering half- and full-day sessions of Hawaiian culture and activities; an arcade of exclusive shops and boutiques; complimentary health service from the resort's nurse; complimentary shuttles to nearby shopping; and complimentary activities such as lauhala weaving and Hawaiian quilting.

With a direct view of the Pacific Ocean, Cabanas Seaside Grill offers intimate dinners and social gatherings. Guests dine under nine specially constructed cabanas that seat two up to a maximum of seven persons apiece. Individual preferences are noted by having guests choose whether to enjoy the sunset view while dining or draw the drapes to ensure maximum privacy. White linen tablecloths and hand-blown glass tableware add the final elegant touches to this elegant setting. The Kahala Burger, available at the open-air Plumeria Beach Café, brings guests back to the resort year after year.
