The Hualalai Golf Club is the home of the annual MasterCard Senior PGA Championship Tournament. The Club's practice area includes a 12-station driving range, three target greens, a putting green and a chipping green with sand bunker. Designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus, the championship 18-hole, par-72 golf course has been named an official PGA Tour Resort.

The golf course starting holes play toward Hualalai volcano, and the playing experience progresses through a constantly changing environment, from lush kipuka or oases to stark lava fields to an exciting oceanfront group of finishing holes. The spectacular Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole par-72 course takes every advantage of the stark black lava setting that accommodates an open links style and provides some dramatic, visual golf holes.

Guests are welcomed upon check-in with a cool towel, fresh juice, and a fragrant fresh flower lei at the reception desk, and fruit, nuts, and fudge in their room. A complimentary, self-service business center accessible 24 hours includes three computers with Internet access and a copier, as well as CDs and videos to borrow. Jack Nicklaus designed the resort’s oceanfront Hualalai Golf Course, which is built over black-lava rock.
