The
Lodge at Koele
In the middle of the Pacific is Hawaii, in the center of Hawaii is the
exotic island of Lanai, and at the heart of Lanai, nestled between pine
forests and lush valleys in the central highlands, is the Lodge at Koele.

From the moment you are welcomed into the Great Hall with its high-beamed
ceilings, natural stone fireplaces and a unique collection of artifacts from
around the world, this stately manor house echoes with rustic charm, refined
taste, comfort and exquisite seclusion.
Secluded among towering Cook pines and Banyan trees, the 102-room Lodge
at Koele will undoubtedly take your breath away. With its enchanting rustic
Hawaiian ambiance and engaging collection of rare artwork, the atmosphere is
both refined and thoroughly relaxing. The Lodge at Koele is also a place of
peerless pampering. Feather pillows and a four-poster bed await you.
Freshly-squeezed pineapple juice is presented on arrival. And, from the
moment you arrive, experience a luxury beyond price an entirely gracious
spirit of service.

Artistic
culture has been integrated into the decor of the 102 rooms and suites that
include carved four-poster beds, quilted pillows and the inspiring paintings
of local artists.
Dining at the Lodge is a gastronomic delight which blends the best of
Lanai's locally-grown
produce with classical European and Oriental styles. The formal dining rooms
with a cozy fire, or the Koele Terrace restaurant overlooking acres of
tropical gardens make every meal an occasion. Or you may prefer a gourmet
picnic basket specially prepared for that romantic outing.
The swimming pool and spa, surrounded by stately pine trees and gardens
ablaze with color, are a prime example of delicate landscaping. Across the
reservoir from the gazebo is the orchid house an ornamental glass greenhouse
shipped from England that invites you to indulge in the soothing setting of
exotic orchids.

At
The Lodge at Koele, rejuvenation and recreation coexist in perfect
harmony. Saddle up for a serene horseback ride through guava forests and
ironwood groves at the Stables at Koele. Tee off at a highland course that
leads through dense forests and stunning valley gorges. Surrender your
tensions to a Swedish or Shiatsu massage. Lose yourself along miles of
silken beaches. Or share an evening with a renowned visionary through our
Visiting Artist Program. All of this, of course, at your discretion. You
certainly need not feel compelled to do anything at all.
To say children will be pleasantly preoccupied on Lana‘i would be an
understatement. With the Pilialoha Children's Program (Pilialoha is Hawaiian
for "close friendship and beloved companionship"), the youngest guests are
invited to unleash their adventurous spirits through an unending array of
activities. Kids can explore tide pools and petroglyphs. See pineapple
fields. Go on safaris or learn local crafts. And because Lana‘i is sheltered
from the crowds found on other islands, you and your children can enjoy an
entire island of fun with a sense of safety and security.

Beautiful
flora, lakes, and streams surround Greg Norman's The Experience at Ko'ele
golf course, while croquet lawns, an outdoor swimming pool, spa tub, and
archery range are also at the ready.
The enchanting atmosphere of The Lodge extends to The Experience at Koele
- the new and spectacular golf course designed by Greg Norman. It is as much
a delight to behold as it is to play featuring views to four other islands
and the spectacular 8th hole which drops more than 250 feet to the valley
floor below.
As the back nine begins the wind becomes a factor and challenges your
every shot. Don't miss the 18 hole putting course before or after a great
round of golf at this exceptional course. The Experience at Koele, designed
by Greg Norman and renowned golf course architect Ted Robinson offers the
player a most interesting and enjoyable round of golf. Unlike most Hawaiian
courses, the Experience is 2000 feet above sea level.

From
stunning mountain vistas to lush greens surrounded by century old Cook
Pines, a round at Koele is much more than a game. It is truly an experience.
Designed by Greg Norman, this championship course has garnered numerous
awards and accolades since its opening a mere decade ago. For no other links
course in Hawaii, perhaps even the world, offers such an incredible
combination of upland terrain, inspired landscape architecture, and range of
play challenges. As legions of discerning golfers have discovered, playing a
round at The Experience at Koele ensures you will take home bragging rights,
regardless of your score. The course winds through pine forest and meadows
where you may catch a glimpse of a wild turkey or even a deer. Although
there are many spectacular holes and vistas on the course, two of the most
memorable are a 250 foot elevation drop to a small green guarded by a tree
and bunker and of course the other is the island green on hole 17.
