ResortQuest Kona by The Sea Situated on a rocky shore, this condominium resort offers 86 units scattered amid immaculate grounds, 2 miles from the center of Kailua-Kona Village and from two golf courses. Waves from the Pacific fill a salt water pool, a sandy area offers a prime spot for sun-worshipping, and other amenities include two pools, a spa tub, and three gas barbecue grills. All condos have large lanais that face the ocean. Accommodations are also equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, two bathrooms, full kitchens, washers, dryers, VCRs, and safes.
Unlike most condominium resorts in this stretch of the rocky Kona Coast, Kona by the Sea provides a sandy area for guests to enjoy the sun. Roughly 70 yards wide and 15 yards deep, the sand section lies between the ocean foaming on the lava rocks and the resort's fresh-water pool. Rectangular in shape, the pool is large enough for swimming short laps. The surrounding sundeck includes a jet spa, lounge chairs, dining tables, umbrellas, and three gas barbecue grills built into a tile counter. Comprising 86 units in two five-story wings, Kona by the Sea is a contemporary resort with immaculate tropical grounds. In the lobby is an activities desk for booking luaus, golf times, helicopter sightseeing flights, and all other activities available on The Big Island.
This resort offers 86 units in two five-story wings. All units have large lanais facing the ocean. Each one- and two-bedroom unit features a full kitchen, two bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and a VCR. Rooms are air conditioned and also have ceiling fans. Decor is clean and contemporary with a tropical flair: richly colored floral prints offset by white furniture.
